Wrinkles – How They Form and How to Erase Them

Once you understand how skin wrinkles are formed, it becomes clear how to get rid of them without spending a lot of money on topical creams, patches, or surgery.

First, it’s important to understand this to get us all on the same page wrinkles begin to form during adolescence. Yes, surprising, but true. And that’s why.

Our personality and habits are very well established during our childhood. We have characteristic eyebrows, smiles, displeasure or disdain, concentration. They don’t tend to change as we age, without accidents or injuries. And so, facial muscle retention patterns are very well established by our teenagers.

What do facial muscles have to do with wrinkles? Think about it – if you lift a lot of weights, the muscle can swell and stretch the skin on your arms. But when you frown, for example, the muscle pinches the skin.

Over time, facial muscles tighten or contract around the areas of most pinches. Between the skin and the muscle is a thin layer of connective tissue, or fascia, that also sets up along the pinching pattern and begins to dry out.

Now you have muscles and fascia that work to hold the skin together around the contours of your face. What happens when, slowly, over time, they work together to wrinkle the skin above them? Hardened skin has less blood circulation. oh oh

When we are children, our faces are often very vivid. Muscles, fascia, and skin can be pinched, but then they open in shock or calmness or in the deep relaxation of sleep. Then the blood circulation can easily flow through the skin and repair or renew the muscles and skin, restoring the fullness of the child’s face.

Over time, as our expression patterns become established, the ability of the circulation to flow easily and to heal diminishes and diminishes. With a lack of adequate hydration, dietary restrictions, smoking, trauma, etc., it becomes a high struggle for blood supply to restore the skin’s fullness. Wrinkles are the result of time and habits.

Without a doubt, the best time to prevent wrinkles in life is during our teenage years. Daily facial massage – especially around the areas where wrinkles are visible in various facial expressions – is a real help. Use olive oil, which the skin and muscles love, or almond oil if the skin is naturally dry or sensitive, or coconut oil if you like it.

In addition to a good scrub in the morning or evening after washing your face, it’s best to drink enough water to hydrate your cells and avoid junk food. If you’re young, start now to save that precious face. Is it big? Roll up your sleeves.

Well, we now understand how these things appear, and if you’re young enough, you can avoid wrinkles with simple mental practices. But for those of us beyond our teenage years, our massage practice needs to be more focused and precise.

Think for a minute about the wrinkles that appear on the upper lip, the wrinkles that appear in the mouth of the elderly. Over time, this can be caused by smoking, drinking soft drinks, thinking or puckering the lips in protest, such actions that pinch the lips together. (I’m not denying kissing because it’s cute, but it’s easy to see how it contributes to the little lines on the lips.)

First, choose the type of oil that you like best. Sophia Loren has always said that she is wrinkle free in her 70’s and 80’s due to daily application of olive oil on her face and most skin likes this oil as well as all muscles. If you live in dry zones, you may want to make a mixture of oils and rose water for more hydration than drinking enough water.

Let me share with you a concoction I’ve used since I was 30 that helped me get rid of wrinkles on my 70-plus-year-old face: Add 2 ounces of rose water to 3 ounces of organic peanut butter. 2 – 3 ounces of organic olive oil and one tablespoon of liquid lanolin. Older skin will appreciate an ounce of wheat germ oil as an anti-aging aid. Dry or sensitive skin needs an ounce of sweet almonds. 7-8 ounces of facial bliss helps restore skin’s vitality and help eliminate wrinkles, depending on where the face is located.

(PS, Why peanut butter? Good question. Peanut butter is a food for connective tissue, which we think is mostly around the joints. But remember fascia, the thin connective layer between the skin and muscles? This layer helps. It keeps the skin lifted and taut, along with muscle tone. helps prevent arthritis, according to the readings of Edgar Cayce. I adapted this formula.)

Everyday beauty of your precious face

In the morning or evening routine, wash first with a mild soap/cream/cleansing lotion, use a fine fiber cloth or sponge or loofah circle to wash off the dead skin cells. Use nice deep circular motions on the forehead, cheeks, chin and throat.

Never, never, never press or rub the eyes or temples. The skin tissue around the eyes is very delicate and can easily tear with too much pressure. We would do well to appreciate the smile lines around the eyes because they are the only positive lines on the face.

When you wash your face, it should be clean and almost dry. If the film still feels like it’s covering the skin – like many commercial soaps – get a different brand. Castile soaps are generally good cleansers and leave no coating or residue on the skin.

Pat your face dry and apply a small amount of oil on your palms. (The mixture described above needs to be shaken each time the ingredients separate, as no harmful chemical emulsifiers are added.)

Apply the oil to the forehead, cheeks, chin and throat, apply a little to the eyes, but not deeply. Using circular movements with your fingertips, increase blood circulation in these areas and activate the underlying muscles.

Note that the throat is included in the daily face massage. As long as you give it a little attention and circulation to keep the skin, muscles and connective tissues healthy, there’s no reason why that skin should sag over time.

When massaging the forehead, remember that the muscles that pull the eyebrows up or down in surprise vertical muscles. If you swipe them left and right, back and forth, they will calm down. Go down directly to the hairline and eyebrows with a cross rubbing motion, targeting the muscles under the skin.

It’s easy to rub your cheeks in a circular motion, and pay a little more attention to the areas in front of the ears where the jaw muscles can tighten due to all the stresses of living in the 21st century. Rub up and down the nose and next to it, open your mouth to allow more complete blood circulation to the part of the face that does not move on its own.

To work the muscles around the lips, pull them along the teeth with a closed smile and rub the border of the lips well with the tip of the finger, creating a good and deep circular and circular blood circulation. The muscle can contract back and forth and across the upper lip and under the nose, holding the wrinkles in place. If you have lines here that are just starting to form, you may want to double the massage time to really improve circulation.

Finally, rub the throat in a nice circular motion along the neck and front of the vocal cords. Bring your thumbs together under the chin and press along the lower part of the jaw line to the ear. Do this several times. It helps stimulate the immune reflex point that we all need today.

Place your palms on your cheeks and your fingers on your forehead and finish by rubbing once over your entire face. Imagine blood circulation flowing through all the cells of the skin and muscles, refreshing, rejuvenating, revitalizing them. Feel youth and beauty entering your cells. Mmmmmm.

For more specific treatment

To treat existing wrinkles around the forehead and mouth, you can follow a general facial massage – it only takes a minute – to treat individual wrinkles more precisely.

Dip the Q-tip into the oil and press it against the edge of the jar to prevent it from dripping. Using a magnifying glass or simply approaching the mirror, place the tip with one hand at the end of the wrinkle and spread the wrinkle with the fingers of the other hand. To increase blood circulation along this line, press deeply into the wrinkle with slight back and forth movements along the wrinkle.

There is an interesting cosmetic acupuncture method for wrinkles that works basically the same. Fine filament needles are inserted through the wrinkle using tweezers to draw blood to the pinched area. But you can do the same with a Q-tip and nourishing oil. It just takes a little time, a little patience and a lot of love.

How long will all this take before I see results?

Remember, the skin has seven layers, the oldest is on top and the newly born cells are underneath. The oil and massage regimen you receive will immediately benefit the new cells, but it may take 30 to 45 days for these cells to transform into the top layer.

During this period of self-love, your routine will help release the holding patterns of muscles and fascia. Imagine how you will feel when you start seeing results! And trust me, it will show in a happier, healthier look to others too.

So be patient. Honestly, don’t you want to stick to a healthy facial routine for the rest of your days? A day off a week here won’t hurt, but making a pampering facial a regular part of your life will leave everyone you meet looking younger than you.
